Steph & Max

There are weddings that follow a familiar formula, and then there are weddings that feel unmistakably like the people getting married.

Stephanie & Max’s wedding was one of the latter. Incorporating oysters post-ceremony, a drive in a kick-ass car, a visit to the local Vietnamese Supermarket in Northbridge for snacks, followed by private vows at Hyde Park. It was beautiful, it was different, I loved it all.

As a wedding photographer, I love photographing celebrations where couples can relax into the day rather than spend it worrying about whether they’re doing everything “right”. My approach is candid and documentary-inspired, with enough direction to make things easy when you need it, but plenty of space for the real moments to happen.

The laughter, the nerves, the people you love, the ridiculous moments and the quiet ones you might otherwise forget.

That’s the stuff I’m looking for.

Because beautiful wedding photography doesn’t have to mean perfectly posed photographs. It should feel like you.
